Ministry – Thieves

thieves, thieves and liars, murderers
hypocrites and bastards [in laughter]

hey thanks for nothing!
morals in the dust
two-faced bastards and syncophants
no trust

thieves! liar!
inside, outside, which side, you don’t know
my side, your side, their side, we don’t know
which side are they? which side are they?
which side of their mouth do you suppose that it came?
which side are they? which side are they?
which side of the grass is greener?
inside, outside, which side, you don’t know
my side, your side, their side, we don’t know

you’re like a great big gun,
just waiting to get squeezed!

breathe, forfeit erection!
toxical injection
geriatric fuck-fest
we still believe in lies

thieves! liar!
inside, outside, which side, you don’t know
my side, your side, their side, we don’t know
who started it? who started it?
which side are they? which side are they?
which side of their mouth do you suppose that it came?
which side are they? which side are they?
which side of the grass is greener?
inside, outside, which side, you don’t know
my side, your side, their side, no one knows

you’re like a great big hit of acid,
waiting to be taken!

not contesting that this whole album was freaking epic, but try Scraping Foetus Off the Wheel’s “Hole” and “Nail” for other industrial music that got it right.

Wow that’s a really stupid comment. Alot of music styles just created metal and still are creating metal to the style it is and will be these days.
Alot of the bands use other genres as examples and makes you also able to play more than only the same thing over and over again. Technics and rhytms are found outside of the boundries.

    @onshrooms420 that …
@onshrooms420 that comment made no sense, ….what makes u think old and young metal heads are so different that they must be seprated by some goofy genre name…as a former rave dj, i see wanna be rave kids battling it out constantly on youtube about genre names, and they miss the point entirely. The labels only serve as a masturbatory ego serving device for a younger “generation”, and i use that term loosely, because if all u want is a name and no spirit then u dont “generate” anything.

    To be historically …
To be historically accurate, Ministry started as a Synthpop band in the early 80’s and didn’t start to cross over towards industrial to 85, with the crossover album Twitch. They didn’t start playing industrial until 87 with their first industrial release Land of Rape and Honey. NIN had been playing out as an industrial band since 87 and their first release was in 89 Pretty Hate Machine.

  22. DIVISIONINCISION Says:

    Not only that…… …
Not only that……..but while Al Jourgenson was already signed to Arista records, Reznor was still a nobody in Ohio!

NIN profited off the Industrial movement and it survived in spite of Reznor not because of him.

  23. skateNappreciate Says:

    @fimrie yea I know …
@fimrie yea I know thats what I said, nin ripped off ministry

  24. fimrie Says:

    LOL….Ministry …
LOL….Ministry predates NIN by more than a decade. They were(and are) awesome innovators and artists.

I’m actually quite fond of a bunch of NIN material.

    But, do some homework.
Ministry, was definitely not trying to emulate NIN.

  25. skateNappreciate Says:

wow I have to add, …
wow I have to add, this song’s chorus sounds like the chorus in Mr. Self Destruct by Nine Inch Nails, this is just bullshit..
