I hope you get a chance to hear (and like) some music you haven’t heard.

"Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all"

Obviously we know that these all-important verses point directly to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ and what He did for us on the cross at Calvary. But my question is this:

Why is it that some faith-healing ministries point to these verses as a way of saying that God is obligated to heal people of their physical iniquities? I’ve always had a problem with "name it & claim it" ministries who pretty much demand a healing from God when they pray. These verses speak of our Spiritual healing from sin.

One thing I have learned is that it is Gods choice to heal but God uses infirmities to bring us closer to Him.

God does heal all our diseases it just may not be in this life time but when we go to heaven.

I have illnesses and I take medications but I am no less godly or spiritual than someone who does not have to.

I am proud of you for speaking up against ungodly doctrine like the name it and claim it ministries it makes me wonder what name are they praying to and what they REALLY want to claim.

Not everyone that prays to God prays for the right reasons and some use God and Jesus to get what they want many worship the God of circumstance not the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ministry was an American industrial metal band founded by frontman Al Jourgensen in 1981. Originally a synthpop outfit, Ministry changed its style to industrial metal in the late 1980s. Ministry found mainstream success in the early 1990s with its most successful album Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and the Way to Suck Eggs (1992) and touring as part of the Lollapalooza festival. After 27 years of performing, Al Jourgensen decided to retire the band as of 2008.
