Depends…will your ministry be any different than someone elses? If the answer is no – then join their ministry and preach for it.

Well, first you find the three dumbest people you know.

Then you ask them to tell the three dumbest people they know about your new ministry.

    Guess what happens next?

The Bible says that where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them. If you feel called to the ministry, then you really must spend a lot of time in prayer asking God for His wisdom and direction. Get two or three friends to come to your home for Bible Study and prayer. Tell them that you feel called of God to start a ministry. Have them pray with you. Have the members to invite others to come to the Bible Study, make everyone aware of your calling.. As time progresses and the numbers grow, you might approach other already established churches to allow you to preach at their Church.

Sooner or later money is going to have to be mentioned. It is impossible to have a church without funds to run it. Eventually you will need a building for a meeting place, with chairs for seating and electricity for lights and air conditioning.

Many a large church has had a small beginning. If you honestly seek God and His will for your ministry, He will bless you, and He might lead you in other directions. Be very open to His leading, and may God richly bless you in your search.

Second thoughts. If you have a denomination in mind, you might contact one of those churches and ask for the telephone number of their Association office. These are area offices of that particular denomination. As a Baptist, I know these exist within our denomination. Ask the association manager if he knows of any churches who might be looking for a pastor. Many times in small communities, the pastors move on to larger churches and some of them may be without a pastor. Ask the association manager, how to get in touch with these churches and one of them may take you on, for a trial period.
