Hey Migh! They sure are! They kind of slightly remind me of a cross between James Chance’s Contortions and Johnny Lydon’s PiL! I’m working on digging up even older stuff that like the Telepaths music which also had Ministry guys too which was even before the Blackouts going as far back as 75′. Supposedly it’s not available, but that’s what they said about the Screamers & other bands before and I have a feeling some label would want to get even poor quality audio recordings.

i knew of them, but i’d never heard them before… that clip was great! Young Bill Rieflin and Paul Barker lol! … cool tune as well… i’ll have to look into them some more… thanks :)

Prong "Beg to Differ" or Ministry "Psalm 69"?

September 30, 2009 - 10:13 am 7 Comments

I go with Prong, because Beg to Differ is a great heavy industrial album and Tommie Victor is a genius. Psalm 69 is good too, especially Just One Fix, but from end to end, I think Beg to Differ is one of the best industrial albums ever.

Overall, Prong’s "Beg to Differ" because the quality of the songs are consistent, whereas Ministry’s "Psalm 69" seems to be all over the place though there are several rocking tracks on it. Check out Killing Joke’s albums from the same time period. All these bands have Tommy Victor or Paul Raven interchanging between the three bands.

I would like to start a men’s ministry at my church?

September 30, 2009 - 10:13 am 3 Comments

I belong to a small church with less than 30 members and would like to begin a men’s ministry there. I would like to start it up myself because I don’t want to burden my pastor with the stress of running another ministry. My problem is that I am not as spiritually mature as others in the church nor do I have as much spiriitual knowledge. How can I go about starting an awesome men’s ministry?

Find out which other churches in your area have men’s ministries and visit them. Also, contact organizations like the National Coalition of Men’s Ministries and online discussion groups about men’s ministries for ideas.

I wish you success.

healing or hoax ministry?

September 30, 2009 - 10:13 am 6 Comments

if the healing that Benny Hin,Orel Roberts and like preachers teach is real why don’t they go to the childerns hospitals so GOD can use them to heal the little childern of the painful sicknes why do sick people need to follow them around to get prayed for? If GOD gives you a gift and tell’s you to go heal the sick in the name of GOD .Seems to me you would go where the sick people are .Instead of standing on a big stage and asking for money to pay for air time, travel, fancy clothes, expencive homes, cars, with money that mostly poor people give them in support of their ministry. just seems to me that it would take less money and be more efficient to go where the problem is .I mean if god told me to go out and plant corn and when it’s ripe he tells me go out and harvest the corn.would it make any sense for me to go out on a big stage and start collecting money for expencive clothes, cars, houses,tv,air time, jets ! i should get dressed casual,go to the field, how can i harvest from the tv stage

S W, you have a great question! And the way you put it got right to the heart of the matter. Do I believe that spiritual healing is possible? Sure, I do. Do I believe that what I see in revival tents or on TV is spiritual healing? Absolutely not! My thoughts are that when is done for public exhibition it usually to have believers send their $$$ to the person doing the "healing." My personal belief is that these people are attention-seeking and take advantage of people who are seeking miracles in a time when people are desperately looking for real answers and comfort in troubled times. I see them as predators, but that’s my own personal belief. They are looking to make some serious money by claiming to heal in God’s name. I would imagine there will be a special place in hell for those charlatans.

Wondering where I can make prayer cards to hand out to people. what website etc?

September 30, 2009 - 10:12 am 1 Comment

I have gone into full time ministry and am looking for a place to create / order prayer cards to hand out to churches and supporters, that have our pictures on them

I don’t know of any website off hand, but, you might consider using a program that will enable you to do it yourself. If you don’t want to invest in an expensive program like Illustrator, you may consider a free alternative like Inkscape: http://inkscape.org/screenshots/index.php?lang=en
(click on the left side bar to download).

The downside is there’s a bit of a learning curve to it if you’re unfamiliar with graphic programs. The plus, though, is you can print them out yourself or take them to Kinko’s or Staples and have them print them out on their color laser printers.

What do I have to do for prison music ministry in Texas?

September 30, 2009 - 10:12 am 5 Comments

I am manager and lead singer for a Christian band in Texas. We would like to be able to go into the prisons and share our music with the inmates….How do we do that? How to get started?

For AJ and those like-minded:
Psalm 14:1 (Whole Chapter)
Only fools say in their hearts,“There is no God.”They are corrupt, and their actions are evil;not one of them does good!

Psalm 53:1 (Whole Chapter)
Only fools say in their hearts,“There is no God.”They are corrupt, and their actions are evil;not one of them does good!

I was once part of a prison ministry. Contact the chaplain at the facility where you want to serve. You will then have to spend a few hours on a Saturday at a volunteer orientation, which will be at the administration offices on one of the campuses. They will take you through all the do’s and don’ts and will enter your information into the system and will do a background check on you.
Keep proclaiming the truth. This will be a rewarding experience.

Is NOC a UAE Ministry of Labour requirement when moving to a diffrent company?

September 30, 2009 - 10:12 am 1 Comment

Is NOC a requirement of Ministry of Labour in UAE? Or it depends with your new employer? Are there companies which doesn’t require NOC before you start working with them? Or is this one of the requirements by Ministry of Labour before they can grant me a new Working Visa?

I don’t think so

Fellow Christians what type of charities and ministries is your church involved in?

September 30, 2009 - 10:12 am 5 Comments

I belong to a small inner city AOG church and we have homeless meals twice a week, outreach on buses and the streets and financial help for those with heating their homes. Does your church have a special *flavor* in terms of it’s ministry for the community?

We provide a lot of clothing and food for people, and work with the homeless shelters. We also help fund hospices for the dying, and have aided refugees who come to this country destitute and starving. We’ve paid for funerals for people whose families couldn’t afford them, and assist people with paying light bills. We’re giving out free Thanksgiving dinners now. So most of it tends to be geared toward helping the needy, more than anything else.
